it only just hit me on new years that i only have two more years left of school!!! ahh! Pooz!! lol then this morning Mum was like your going to be 18 next year!! CRAP!!! lol

so here are my new years resolutions .....

1) do the real womens duathlon
2) make all the presents i give away (its james' birthday on Sunday and i am going to make him a cake with sprinkles on ... lol :-))
3) get baptised
4) learn to play the Guitar and learn a Jack Johnson song :-)
5) learn to make furniture :-)
6) pass NCEA
7) wear more dresses!
8) be a stage manager
9) read my bible everyday :-)
10) blogg twice a week :-)
11) write poetry :-)

gee that is quite a list!! lol :-)

My week.

i havent posted for quite awhile so i thought i would post about my week:-)

Saturday: Made a facebook page :-)
Monday: Labour day! went to see (500) days of Summer with my friend Sophie, ate lots of chocolate and felt very sick afterwards :-)
Tuesday: went to maths but maths teacher was not there because she had just had her second baby five weeks early :-)
Wednesday: messed up at work first time screen printing a clients work and majorly messed up! argh!
Thursday: had basement opening at school nervous as, didn't get to show off my directed piece because one of the people who was in it decieded to go to work instead, then after that finished went to TNC Youth group :-)
Friday: had a 45 minute talk about The Cervical Cancer injections, all the girls in the school had to go to it but only saw half of 'em? then went to see Julie and Julia with mother and Sophie and her mother, very nice time :-) really good movie!
Today: am making Orange and Poppy seed muffins YUMMY! with pink icing

CANDLE FOR JASPER BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE HIS BODY TO BURY HAS BEEN BURNING ALL DAY. I LOVE YOU JASPER.....

the cup cakes were very yummy, just went to dentist, no fillings needed this time... lol over very quickly, went to library, got 6 reads for the holidays on theatre and directing etc etc. still miss my Jasper like hell.

don't think i will be replacing him for a long time ;-(

i remember the day i bought Jasper home, i got him from some people who live down Cashel Street, he didn't like being in the cage, i remember him sleeping in my shed in the garage. he always loved being in there, it was like his real home...

every time i went to go out there he would always run out there and be in there with me, when mum was pregnant with Annie he would sit on her and watch Grey's. Mondo and Jasper were the best of friends, i think Jasper thought he was a dog too, often we would walk into the lounge and see Mondo trying to "eat" Jaspers head, he was very gentle with him. i have many happy memories with Jasper.

he was my favourite cat

Sadly some bastard ran him over on Thursday 25th Septemebr the bugger.

went to a friend from my old schools 16th party yesterday, it's nice that we all still catch up (my friends from my old school that is) but every time i hang out with them they will always end up talking about their new amazing school (i left Hillview in year 9 they stayed on for year 10, i got ahead of them then they moved to Middleton....) anyway every time i am with them they end up talking endlessly about Middleton! i want to kill myself! ahh! they go on and on and on and on about the teachers and the boys (so immature!) and all their homework and how amazing they are! i do like hanging with them its just the flipping school thing that drives me nuts!!!!!!

I am often asked to describe the experience of raising a child with a disability - to try to help people who have not shared that unique experience to understand it, to imagine how it would feel. It's like this......

When you're going to have a baby, it's like planning a fabulous vacation trip - to Italy. You buy a bunch of guide books and make your wonderful plans. The Coliseum. The Michelangelo David. The gondolas in Venice. You may learn some handy phrases in Italian. It's all very exciting.

After months of eager anticipation, the day finally arrives. You pack your bags and off you go. Several hours later, the plane lands. The stewardess comes in and says, "Welcome to Holland."

"Holland?!?" you say. "What do you mean Holland?? I signed up for Italy! I'm supposed to be in Italy. All my life I've dreamed of going to Italy."

But there's been a change in the flight plan. They've landed in Holland and there you must stay.

The important thing is that they haven't taken you to a horrible, disgusting, filthy place, full of pestilence, famine and disease. It's just a different place.

So you must go out and buy new guide books. And you must learn a whole new language. And you will meet a whole new group of people you would never have met.

It's just a different place. It's slower-paced than Italy, less flashy than Italy. But after you've been there for a while and you catch your breath, you look around.... and you begin to notice that Holland has windmills....and Holland has tulips. Holland even has Rembrandts.

But everyone you know is busy coming and going from Italy... and they're all bragging about what a wonderful time they had there. And for the rest of your life, you will say "Yes, that's where I was supposed to go. That's what I had planned."

And the pain of that will never, ever, ever, ever go away... because the loss of that dream is a very very significant loss.

But... if you spend your life mourning the fact that you didn't get to Italy, you may never be free to enjoy the very special, the very lovely things ... about Holland.

My wee man is getting "the chop" today..

poor wee thing! i had to shut in my room so that he wouldn't eat anything after 10:30 last night... i think that made him very happy, till i shut him in the kids bathroom... every time we went in there he would make a bee-line for the door to get out and.... failed! lol sorry Jasper i do love you really! this is one of the cat things in life you just have to do!

Dry Bones Live Again

¹Some time later, I felt the LORD's power take control of me, and his Spirit carried me to a valley full of bones. ²The LORD showed me all around, and everywhere I looked I saw bones that were dried out. ³He said, "Ezekiel, son of man, can these bones come back to life?"

I replied, "LORD God, only you can answer that."

⁴He then told me to say:

Dry bones, listen to what the LORD is saying to you, ⁵"I, the LORD God, will put breath in you, and once again you will live. ⁶I will wrap you with muscles and skin and breathe life into you. Then you will know that I am the LORD."

⁷I did what the LORD said, but before I finished speaking, I heard a rattling noise. The bones were coming together! ⁸I saw muscles and skin cover the bones, but they had no life in them.

⁹The LORD said:

Ezekiel, now say to the wind, "The LORD God commands you to blow from every direction and to breathe life into these dead bodies, so they can live again." ¹⁰As soon as I said this, the wind blew among the bodies, and they came back to life! just a few things that make me happy right now...

- the new perfume i got dad the other day to give him today~ it smells well good! note to self good choice chrissy! lol

- listening to jack johnson - the curious George album will walking to the bus in the sunshine! ahh happy moments!

- the flowers that are popping up around everywhere! :-)

- just realising that i always put a smiley face at the end of my text messages :-) lo it makes me happy.. :-)

- school. i'mdoing some pretty cool classes and i only have about 8 more weeks left until study leave! yay!

- the sunshine! a nice change from the cold frosts each morning in winter!

- blogging.. i don't care if no-one reads my blog:-)

- my new red nose stud (its nice and red and sparkly! :-) )

- life in general - even bad days are teaching me new things

- promite.. no more needs to be said

- my bright green hoodie. its my fave! i would wear it everyday if i could but i imagine my dear mother would get sick of it and either use it for quilt back or bag etc or just throw it out! (love you mum! xoxoxo)

- the story in the bible in Ezekiel about the bones that came together and grew flesh and then God breathed life into them! so exciting i didn't even know about it till today! Ezekiel 37:6- onwards :-)

i went to go write dad a card last night and realised we have like no good cards left

so i was stuck with giving him this butt ugly card with some nasty pictures of...

im not all that sure what was on it but it was bad! lol :-)

i'm pretty sure its the kind of card you give to some one who is going away on an overseas trip...

oh dear! sorry dad!

Sitting here in the library i have still got another hour to fill in till the next show(i'm doing crew work for Comedy of Wiskers which is being put on by the Malt House. Done Three show already this weekend, one more today and another two weeks! my co-crew workers are.... odd to say the least! in our crew there is me and about four others. i almost can't bare to go back and spend the rest of Fathers day in the Dark backstage with them!

never mind at least the show is only about an hour long

two more weeks and im done...

i felt like blogging today but don't have anything exciting enough to blog about so Mum suggested i put up a nice recipe.. what should i put up?......

ah i know

my famous brownie recipe!

Chocolate Brownies:

ingredients:

200g unsalted butter

125g dark chocolate chopped

1 cup plain (all purpose) flour, sifted

2 cups caster(super fine) sugar

2 tablespoons cocoa powder, sifted

¼ teaspoon baking powder, sifted

4 eggs

icing sugar, sifted

cocoa powder for dusting

Preheat the oven ti 180∘c. Place butter and chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat and stir until melted and smooth (or you could just do what i do and put it in the microwave!).

Place the flour, sugar, cocoa and baking powder into a bowl. Add the eggs and chocolate mixture and stir well to combine. Pour into a lightly greased 20 x 30 cm rectangular cake tin lined with baking paper. bake for 30-40 minutes( or bake till when you stick the knife in the cake a little bit of mixture still comes out, this makes it nice and gooey when you go to eat it! yum!!!)

Remove from the tin and cool on a wire rack. Slice brownies and dust with the icing sugar and cocoa to serve.

Serves 10.... :-)

This weekend Reuben and James have gone to boys brigade camp, so i got to sleep in this morning! yay, for breakfast i made Dutch baby with Lemon sugar! yum! (note not real baby!) Dutch baby- basically a cross between a pancake and a popover- is tremendously popular in Seattle. after breakfast mum and i went to the super shed and got 3 suit cases(later we found out they were free! yay!) a crotchet rug, some cool old plates, and some old golden books- when i got home i cut out pictures from the books and made cards! and tonight i am going to my friends 16th birthday! i love weekends!

Today i went to pick up Reuben and his friend from school, and they were wearing their back packs on their fronts and bashing into each other! lol then when we were on the way home they were stealing peoples gardens beautiful flowers and pretended they were bombs... lovely! wish i was seven again!

I had my practice exam for health today! three whole hours long! it was a good thing i had a V before hand, i get special conditions this year which means i get use of a laptop and an extra half hour! yay! lol the V made me type faster so it meant i got more work done too! hehe, yipee for energy drinks! Come to think of it i probably could have found a healthier drink to have before my health exam! oh well at least i got the work done!
